About Phillips County Hospital & Family Health Clinic
Located in the heart of Malta, Montana, Phillips County Hospital & Family Health Clinic is proud to serve Phillips County and the surrounding communities across more than 5,000 square miles of northeastern Montana. As a rural Critical Access Hospital, we are committed to providing high-quality, compassionate healthcare close to home.
Our modern facility, built in 2004, was designed with patient-centered care in mind—bringing hospital, clinic, and support services together under one roof to improve coordination, convenience, and continuity of care for our community.
Today, Phillips County Hospital is a licensed 17-bed hospital offering a broad range of services, including:
- Emergency Services with 2 dedicated Emergency Department bays for urgent and emergent care
- Acute Medical/Surgical Care for inpatient treatment and recovery
- Swing Bed Services for patients needing skilled nursing and rehabilitation before returning home
- Extended Care Services providing long-term and intermediate care for individuals needing ongoing support
- Family Health Clinic offering primary care for patients of all ages
- Laboratory Services for diagnostic testing
- Radiology Services for imaging and diagnostic support
- Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation to help patients regain strength, mobility, and independence
- Durable Medical Equipment (DME) to support patient mobility, recovery, and home care needs
- Oxygen Services providing home oxygen equipment and respiratory support for qualifying patients
- Visiting Nurse Services bringing skilled nursing care into the home when needed

About Malta, Montana
Nestled in the scenic Missouri River Breaks country of northeastern Montana, Malta is a welcoming rural community of approximately 2,000 residents and serves as the county seat of Phillips County. With over 5,000 square miles of wide-open spaces, rolling plains, and agricultural roots, Malta offers the charm of small-town living with the strength of a close-knit community.
